River Seaton, River Pol
Flooding is possible this evening Sunday 29 October in Polperro. This Flood Alert has been activated by very high tidal levels in Polperro and not due to high fluvial river levels in this area. An exceptionally high tide last evening resulted in the levels in the River Pol being raised to Flood Alert levels in the lower part of the village. This is likely to occur again over the high tide period this evening Sunday 29 October when similar tidal levels to those observed last evening are forecast to be reached. High tide is around 17:43 local time this evening, so expect high water levels and associated flood risk up to 2 hours either side of high tide. Flooding from rivers is not expected. This message will be updated when the exceptionally high tidal levels fall below levels of concern, or earlier if the situation changes.
