River levels remain high at the Linstock river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Isolated residential properties, farms and golf course facilities between Newby East and Low Crosby are at risk. The River Eden is expected to peak this afternoon, 16/02/2020. Further light rain is forecast today. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have closed flood defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated later today or as the situation changes

River Eden
River levels are raised at the Eden Valley river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, low lying roads and farmland is expected. Isolated residential properties, farms and golf course facilities between Newby East and Low Crosby are at risk. The River Eden level has peaked and for a short time will fall. However further rain will cause the level to rise and we expect it to peak again at around 10am on Sunday 16/02/20. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and roads near local watercourses. This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.

River levels have risen at the Eden Valley river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, low lying roads and farmland is expected. Isolated residential properties, farms and golf course facilities between Newby East and Low Crosby are at risk. We expect river levels to remain high overnight and into tomorrow. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and roads near local watercourses. River Eden
River levels are forecast to rise at the Linstock river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall on the Pennines and with levels on the upper Eden at Appleby which caused flooding there only peaking over the last few hours. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains to isolated residential properties, farms and golf course facilities between Newby East and Low Crosby during this evening. Further showers are forecast over this evening and overnight and we expect river levels to remain high until late tonight. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated

The River Eden levels remain high in the lower end of the catchment, due to yesterday's rain. There are a few showers forecast on Sunday morning but no significant amount of rain is expected.

The River Eden is continuing to rise due to the rain experienced on Friday and Saturday and is due to peak at 3am on Sunday 14th October before dropping to normal levels at lunchtime. There are a few showers forecast on Sunday morning but no significant amount of rain is expected.

Following rainfall on Friday and throughout Saturday, river levels have continued to rise, and with further rain forecast for Saturday evening levels will remain high. We are currently forecasting that the flood warning level will be reached at approximately 22.00, today 13/10/18. The current forecast is for levels to peak at 3.9m, at approximately 03.00 on Sunday 14/10/2018. We will continue to monitor the situation and update this message if the situation changes.

Following recent rainfall, the level of the river Eden has peaked and is now falling however this still remains high. The weather should be mainly dry during the rest of today and will turn colder however we may experience some showers. We do not expect this rainfall to affect river levels. We will continue to monitor river levels and will update this message in the morning.

Thursday 23 November is expected to be drier than Wednesday although some showers are still expected. River levels remain high, but have started to fall. We will continue to monitor river levels and will update this message in due course or if the situation changes.

Further rain is expected throughout the evening into the morning of Thursday 23 November. The River Eden has risen throughout the day and we expect it to continue rising into the early hours. We expect overtopping of the lower defences at Low Crosby around 1am. The current forecast peak level of 4m is below the next Flood Warning Area for Low Crosby and Warwick Holme. The Environment Agency is continuing to monitor the situation and will update this message when the situation changes.
