River levels have risen at the Bowston river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, low lying land and roads is expected. Properties are expected to be affected immediately adjacent the River Kent in Bridge Street, Steeles Row, Junction Cottages and Carling Steps areas of Burneside Village. We expect river levels to remain high through today, Thursday 20/02/2020. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated this afternoon, 20/02/2020, or as the situation changes.

River levels have risen at the Bowston river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, low lying land and roads is expected. Properties are expected to be affected immediately adjacent the River Kent in Bridge Street, Steeles Row, Junction Cottages and Carling Steps areas of Burneside Village. River levels have risen at the Bowston river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Areas affected will be residential properties immediately adjacent to the River Kent in Bridge Street, Steeles Row, Junction Cottages and Carling Steps areas of Burneside Village. Further rainfall is forecast until mid-day today, 09/02/2020. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Further rain is expected into the morning of Thursday 23 November. River levels have now started falling but the warning will remain in force until the rain had cleared the county. The Environment Agency Continues to monitor the situation and will update this message when the situation changes.

Heavy rainfall is forecast to continue throughout today and into the evening, clearing after midnight. River levels will continue to rise during the course of the day and are expected to peak between 16:00 and 18:00 this evening. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update if the situation changes.
