Areas most at risk include residential properties immediately adjacent the River Kent in Bridge Street, Steeles Row, Junction Cottages and Carling Steps areas of Burneside Village. Flooding is possible between 08:30 PM 27/10/2021 and 07:00 PM on 28/10/2021. Further rainfall is forecast for the next few days. River levels are expected to remain high. Our incident rooms are open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.
