River Kent
River levels have risen at the Bowston river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, low lying land and roads is expected. Residential and commercial properties including Croppers Mill, New Road, Ivy Crescent, Bournville and Carlingdale areas are at risk. We expect river levels to remain high this evening and overnight. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please avoid using low lying roads and footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.

Further rain is expected into the morning of Thursday 23 November. River levels have now started falling but the warning will remain in force until the rain has cleared the county. The Environment Agency continues to monitor the situation and will update this message as the situation changes.

Heavy rainfall is forecast to continue throughout today and into the evening, clearing after midnight. River levels will continue to rise during the course of the day and are expected to peak between 17:00 and 18:00 this evening just below the flood warning level. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update if the situation changes.
