Flooding is affecting the Stead McAlpin Factory on Caldew Road and parts of the Cumbria Way Cycleway adjacent to the River Caldew at Cummersdale, Carlisle from 1:00 AM on 23/05/2024.
Further rainfall is forecast throughout Thursday.

Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible between 00:00 and 04:00 tomorrow, 24/02/2021. Consequently, flooding of property, low lying land and roads is expected. Areas at risk are the Stead McAlpin Factory on Caldew Road and parts of the Cumbria Way Cycleway adjacent to the River Caldew at Cummersdale, Carlisle.

River levels on the River Caldew remain high but are beginning to fall at the Cummersdale river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding is reducing. the Stead McAlpin Factory on Caldew Road and parts of the Cumbria Way Cycleway adjacent to the River Caldew at Cummersdale, Carlisle. We do not forecast the situation to deteriorate any further.
Further showers are forecast for the rest of today. River levels are falling and remain just above the Flood Warning level and now pose a reduced flood risk.
