Flooding of roads and low lying land is possible overnight tonight and into tomorrow 17/10/2024.
Areas most at risk include River Eden and tributaries from Temple Sowerby to the confluence with the River Irthing at Warwick Bridge including Langwathby, Lazonby, Kirkoswald, Armathwaite, Wetheral and Warwick on Eden.
As a result of rainfall and forecasted rainfall, river levels will continue to rise through the morning. We do not expect levels to reach Flood Warning.
We are in the area checking debris screens to ensure watercourses remain clear.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.

Areas most at risk include River Eden and tributaries from Temple Sowerby to the confluence with the River Irthing at Warwick Bridge including Langwathby, Lazonby, Kirkoswald, Armathwaite, Wetheral and Warwick on Eden. Some further rainfall is forecast today, Thursday 23/05/2024. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking rivers for blockages in the area.
