River levels have risen at the Agnes Meadow Bridge river gauge as a result of the persistent heavy rainfall from Storm Dennis. Consequently, the flooding of property is expected imminently. Flooding is affecting properties around Sturston Mill, Ashbourne Town Centre and Henmore Trading Estate. Further, potentially heavy, rainfall is forecast through to midday (16/02/20). We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated in the morning, 16/02/20, or as the situation changes.

River levels have risen rapidly at the Agnes Meadow Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible to begin within the next hour, Sunday 09/02/20. Flooding is affecting properties around Sturston Mill, Ashbourne Town Centre and Henmore Trading Estate.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 6 hours. We expect river levels to rise into this evening,Sunday 09/02/20 .
Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.
Please activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers and move family, pets, possessions, valuables and cars to safety and follow advice from emergency services
