This may result in river levels rising further in this area and there may be flooding to low lying land and roads. We expect the rain to continue throughout tomorrow (Friday the twenty-first of September) and for river levels to remain raised, however no flooding of properties is expected and Environment Agency staff are monitoring the situation. The Hilton Brook is steadily rising, there may be flooding to low lying land and roads in the Hilton and Scropton areas. This morning’s rainfall has resulted in the steady rise of water levels on the Hilton, Foston and Eggington Brooks. We expect the brooks to remain high for the remainder of today (Monday 2nd April). Further showers are forecast this afternoon which may lead to further flood risk, so it is important to remain vigilant. We will continue to closely monitor river levels in this location. Rain has continued to fall over the River Dove catchment today (Monday 12 March). This has resulted in the River levels rising on the Hilton Brook and Foston brook and we expect there to be flooding to low lying land and roads this evening. The forecast is for the rain to clear the area this evening, and tomorrow should be predominantly dry. Flood Warnings have been issued where required.
