River levels are rising at the Willington Cableway river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is possible now and until mid-day tomorrow, 18/02/2020. Areas most at risk are Barrow upon Trent, including Church Lane, Brookfield and Chapel Lane, the A5132 between Willington, Barrow and Meadow Lane. Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. We expect river levels to begin falling steadily tomorrow evening. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area. Areas most at risk are Rolls Royce Ltd at Raynesway. Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. We expect river levels to rise until the early hours of tomorrow morning, 17/02/2020. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible to begin between noon and afternoon today, 16/02/20. Areas most at risk are Rolls Royce Ltd, at Raynesway. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high during today and over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
