As a result, flooding of properties and low lying areas around Swarkestone continues. We urge residents to take action and remain vigilant as the situation may change. Avoid walking or driving through flood water. Move family, pets and valuables to a safe place. Put flood protection equipment in place. We are closely monitoring the situation. We will endeavour to update this message on Thursday morning, or as the situation changes.
