This flood warning remains in force due to increased river levels following Monday's heavy and persistent rainfall. River levels in the Tapton area have peaked and are slowly falling. Further rain is expected today, Tuesday 01/10/24. Whilst rivers may respond to this, we are not expecting levels to rise significantly and levels will begin to fall again throughout this afternoon. We expect to remove this warning later today. Avoid using low-lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not drive through floodwater. This flood warning remains in force due to very high river levels following Monday's heavy and persistent rainfall. River levels in the Tapton area have now peaked and are slowly falling. Levels are expected to continue falling through the night into Tuesday 1st October 2024. Weather conditions are expected to improve throughout Tuesday and no further significant rainfall is expected over the coming days. Avoid using low-lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not drive through floodwater. We are issuing this flood warning due to heavy and persistent rainfall today, 30/09/2024. Areas most at risk are those adjacent to the river, including those on Brimington Road. River levels are expected to peak around 10pm tonight, Monday 30/09/2024. Weather conditions are expected to improve overnight and into tomorrow morning, 01/10/2024, and no further significant rainfall is expected over the coming days.
