River levels have risen quickly and unexpectedly in the Rother catchment. We are closely monitoring the situation from our incident room. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and roads near watercourses, and be prepared to act on your flood plan. Please see GOV.UK for a 5 day flood forecast and for weather forecasts please see the Met Office. This message will be updated at 08:00 or as the situation changes.

River levels have peaked and are falling. The immediate risk of property flooding has passed. Further showery rain is expected throughout Friday which may cause levels to rise again. The Leeds incident room is open and we are monitoring river levels closely. We will update this message as the situation changes.
