River levels have started to fall but still remain high on the River Doe Lea due to persistent heavy rain yesterday, Friday 20th October. Flooding is still possible at Staveley and Pools Brook at Duckmanton.
There remains a risk of flooding to properties at Riverdale park, Bent Lane, Staveley, Chesterfield, and St. Johns House, Bent Lane, Staveley, Chesterfield.

River levels are rising on the River Doe Lea at Staveley and Pools Brook at Duckmanton due to heavy rainfall.
Flooding is forecast to affect properties at Riverdale park, Bent Lane, Staveley, Chesterfield, and St. Johns House, Bent Lane, Staveley, Chesterfield. The first property to flood From Pools Brook Duckmanton is Meadow Cottage, Staveley Road, Duckmanton, Chesterfield.
Overtopping on the Doe Lea upstream of Buttermilk Lane Bridge will cause impacts on Buttermilk Lane. Overtopping on Pools Brook will cause impacts on Erin court housing estate just off Grove Road.
Rainfall is expected throughout today, and river levels are expected to remain high. Our incident rooms are open and we are closely monitoring the situation. River levels on the Doe Lea will continue to fall below levels of concern throughout Monday morning (17th February).
Scattered showers are forecast this evening and over the next couple of days, although significant impacts from rainfall are not expected on the rivers.

River levels remain high on the Doe Lea today, 16/02/20, as a result of heavy rainfall from Storm Dennis. Levels have peaked and have begun to fall, but are expected to remain high into tomorrow morning, 17/02/20. The risk of flooding to properties, low-lying land and roads remains throughout today, 16/02/20, and so this Flood Warning remains in force.
Scattered showers are forecast this evening and over the next couple of days, although significant impacts from rainfall are not expected on the rivers.

River Doe Lea
River levels have risen rapidly as a result of heavy rainfall overnight. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected today, 16/02/20. Areas most at risk are the Bolsover Coking Works and Netherthorpe. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high during Sunday. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. Please put your flood plan into action. River Doe Lea
River levels remain high but are now falling following persistent heavy rainfall due to Storm Ciara. Whilst further showers are forecast throughout today, 10/02/20, we do not expect these to cause significant impacts to river levels, which should continue to fall. Consequently we expect the risk of flooding to reduce throughout the day, and will review the continuing need for this warning once the river drops below levels of concern.

River levels are rising as a result of heavy rainfall associated with storm Ciara. Consequently, river levels are expected to peak around 19:00. Areas most at risk are properties at Bolsover Coking Works and Netherthorpe
Further showers are forecast over the next 24 hours and we expect river levels to remain high overnight and in to the morning of 10/02/2020.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and closely monitoring the forecast.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
