Flooding is expected in this area. This means properties are at risk of flooding. Please take action to protect yourself and your property and monitor local weather and river conditions. Avoid contact with, walking or driving through flood water. Consider activating any property flood protection products you may have. Environment Agency Flood Warning Officers set the river or tidal levels that have triggered this message. Flooding is expected for the Kingsbridge and Avon Estuaries over the high tide on Friday morning. High water at Plymouth is at 6.45am, times of high water will vary along the coast. Force 9 south westerly winds and offshore wave heights of over 4.5m are forecast. Particular areas of concern include Kingsbridge Quayside. Conditions may apply two hours either side of the high tide. Expect tides to be around 0.47m higher than predicted due to weather conditions. Large waves and spray are likely, so take care near coastal paths and promenades. This may cause localised standing water on roads near to the estuary. Do not drive through flood water or waves. Please be aware of the dangers caused by strong winds, particularly in exposed locations. Coastal conditions should ease for Saturday morning's high tide, however we are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue updates if the situation changes.

Flooding is expected for the Kingsbridge and Avon Estuaries over the high tide on Wednesday morning. High water at Kingsbridge is at 6.36am, times of high water will vary along the coast. Gale force 8 Southerly winds and offshore wave heights of 4.8m are forecast to cause flooding to vulnerable properties at high tide. However conditions may apply two hours either side of the high tide. Expect tides to be around 480mm higher than predicted due to weather conditions. Large waves and spray are likely so take care near coastal paths and promenades. This may cause localised standing water on coastal roads. Do not drive through flood water or waves. Coastal conditions should ease for the afternoon’s high tide, however we are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue updates if the situation changes. Detailed tidal information for those who use it; The forecast high tide level is 3.01 mAOD at Plymouth, this is 0.48 metres above astronomical tide level.

Flooding is possible for the Kingsbridge and Avon Estuaries over the high tide on Sunday and Monday. High water at Plymouth is at 18:00 on Sunday evening and 06:30 on Monday morning. The times of high water will vary along the coast. Strong West South West force 8 winds are forecast for Sunday evening and Westerly force 7 on Monday morning, which may cause minor overtopping of sea defences. The current forecast conditions, associated with strong winds and large waves from storm Ciara, could also result in localised flooding in low lying areas on the Kingsbridge and Avon Estuaries, including Kingsbridge and Salcombe. People are advised to stay away from areas at risk and take care next to the coast. Environment Agency staff will continue to monitor tide levels, and issue updates as required.

Flooding is expected for the Kingsbridge and Avon Estuaries over the high tide on the morning of Sunday 9th February. High water at Plymouth is at 05:30, the times of high water will vary along the coast. Strong southwesterly force 8 winds and wave heights of up to 5 metres are forecast which may cause wave overtopping of sea defences. Expect tides to be up to 460mm higher than predicted on tide tables. The current forecast conditions, associated with strong winds and large waves from storm Ciara, could also result in localised flooding in low lying areas on the Kingsbridge and Avon Estuaries, including Kingsbridge and Salcombe. People are advised to stay away from areas at risk and take care next to the coast. Environment Agency staff will continue to monitor tide levels, and issue updates as required. Detailed tide information for those who use it: The forecasted high tide level at Plymouth is 2.82mAOD. This is 0.46m above astronomical tide level.
