Flooding is expected for Clovelly, Westward Ho!, Watermouth Cove and Combe Martin over the high tide on Tuesday morning 9th April. High water at Ilfracombe is at 07:15 BST. Times of high water will vary along the coast.
Gale force 8 North Westerly winds and offshore wave heights of over 3.8m are forecast to cause flooding to properties at low lying or exposed parts of coastal communities in North Devon. Conditions may apply two hours either side of the high tide. Expect tides to be around 200mm higher than predicted due to weather conditions.
Large waves and spray are likely so take care near coastal paths and promenades. Conditions may cause localised standing water on roads in these areas. Do not drive through flood water or waves. The tidal gates at Ilfracombe have been closed.
Coastal conditions should ease for Tuesday evenings high tide, however we are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue updates if the situation changes.

Flooding is expected for Clovelly, Westward Ho!, Watermouth Cove and Combe Martin over the high tide on Friday morning. High water at Ilfracombe is at 7.15am, times of high water will vary along the coast.
Force 10 south westerly winds and offshore wave heights of over 7m are forecast. Conditions may apply two hours either side of the high tide. Expect tides to be around 0.7m higher than predicted due to weather conditions.
Large waves and spray are likely, expect debris to be thrown up by wave action at exposed locations along the North Devon Coast. Take care near coastal paths and promenades. The following areas are likely to be affected: Clovelly (Harbour Side), Westward Ho! (shingle ridge area), Watermouth Cove (holiday parks and Harbour area) and Combe Martin (Hotel and Cafe). Do not drive through flood water or waves. Please be aware of the dangers caused by strong winds, particularly in exposed locations.
Coastal conditions should ease for Saturday morning's high tide, however we are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue updates if the situation changes.

Flooding is expected over the high tide on Sunday morning. High water at Ilfracombe is at 05:30am, times of high water will vary along the coast.
Gale force 7 west south-westerly winds and offshore wave heights of around 3.1m are forecast to cause property flooding on Sunday morning.
Large waves and spray are likely so take care near coastal paths and promenades. With the following areas affected Clovelly (Harbour Side), Westward Ho! (shingle ridge area), Watermouth Cove (holiday parks and Harbour area) and Combe Martin (Hotel and Cafe). This may cause localised standing water on roads in these areas. Do not drive through flood water or waves. The tidal gates at Instow, Ilfracombe, Cheyne Beach have been closed.

A flood warning remains in force throughout Friday the 21st. This is due to increased risk at Westward Ho! Which has been caused by increased beach erosion. Other locations receiving this message are below the flood warning threshold meaning that we are not predicting property flooding. Storm Ellen is forecast to bring force 7 south-westerly winds and a flood alert remains in place over the north Devon coast. We are predicting wave overtopping and sea spray in exposed locations. High water at Ilfracombe is at 20:45. Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of high tide. Times of high water will vary along the coast. People are advised to avoid low lying and exposed coastal areas. We will monitor the situation and will update this information if the situation changes. Flooding of low lying or exposed locations is also possible on Thursday and Friday evenings. High water at Ilfracombe is 08:30 on Friday morning. Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of high tide. Times of high water will vary along the coast. Storm Ellen is forecast to bring force 8 South-westerly winds and large waves, with wave overtopping and sea spray in exposed locations. The following areas are at particular risk Clovelly, Westward Ho! Watermouth Cove and Combe Martin. People are advised to avoid low lying and exposed coastal areas.
