Flooding is expected over the high tide Thursday evening. High water at Ilfracombe on Thursday is at 20:15. Times of high water will vary along the coast. Conditions apply two hours either side of high tide. Clovelly Harbour Side, Westward Ho! shingle ridge area, Watermouth Cove holiday parks and Harbour area and Combe Martin Hotel and Cafe will be affected. Flood risk may be increased at Westward Ho! due to recent asset damage. Force 7 westerly winds and offshore wave heights of 4.3m are forecast. This may cause localised property flooding. Tides and wave heights are forecast to be lower after tonight’s high tide. We are monitoring the situation and will update this message Friday morning or if the situation changes. Detailed tidal information; the forecast high tide level Thursday evening is 5.28 mAOD; this is 0.41 metres above astronomical tide level.

Clovelly Harbour Side, Westward Ho! shingle ridge area, Watermouth Cove holiday parks and Harbour area and Combe Martin Hotel and Cafe will be affected. Flood risk may be increased at Westward Ho! due to recent asset damage. Large waves carrying debris are likely so take care near coastal paths. Force 6 west south west winds and offshore wave heights of up to 4.4m are forecast. This may cause localised property flooding. We are monitoring the situation and will update this message Thursday afternoon or if the situation changes. Gale force 7 west northwesterly winds and offshore wave heights of 4.5m are forecast. Wave action is expected to cause spray overtopping and contain debris, potentially resulting in flooding and damage. People are advised to stay away from the areas of risk and take care next to the coast. Keep up to date with weather and tide conditions on local radio. We will continue to monitor the situation. This message will be updated on Wednesday or earlier if the situation changes. Gale force 8 Westerly winds and offshore wave heights of 6m are forecast. Wave action is expected to cause spray overtopping and contain debris, potentially resulting in flooding and damage. People are advised to stay away from the areas of risk and take care next to the coast. Keep up to date with weather and tide conditions on local radio. We will continue to monitor the situation. This message will be updated on Tuesday or earlier if the situation changes. Detailed tidal information for those who use it; The forecast high tide level on Monday evening is 4.94 mAOD and 5.10 mAOD on Tuesday morning this is 0.16 metres and 0.07 metres above astronomical tide level.

Wave action is expected to cause spray overtopping and contain debris, potentially resulting in flooding and damage. People are advised to stay away from the areas of risk and take care next to the coast. Keep up to date with weather and tide conditions on local radio. We will continue to monitor the situation. This message will be updated on Monday or earlier if the situation changes. Detailed tidal information for those who use it; The forecast high tide level on Sunday evening is 5.01 mAOD and 5.05 mAOD on Monday morning this is 0.50 metres and 0.23 metres above astronomical tide level.

Flooding is expected for Clovelly, Westward Ho!, Watermouth Cove and Combe Martin over the high tide on Monday evening. High water at Ilfracombe is at 8pm, times of high water will vary along the coast. However conditions may apply two hours either side of the high tide. Gale force 6 south westerly winds may cause spray overtopping of defences. Take care near coastal paths and promenades. With the following areas affected Clovelly (Harbour Side), Westward Ho! (shingle ridge area), Watermouth Cove (holiday parks and Harbour area) and Combe Martin (Hotel and Cafe). This may cause localised standing water on roads. Do not drive through flood water or waves. Coastal conditions should ease after this evening’s high tide, however we are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue updates if the situation changes. Detailed tidal information for those who use it; The forecast high tide level is 5.61 mAOD, this is 0.23 metres above astronomical tide level.

Flooding is expected for Clovelly, Westward Ho!, Watermouth Cove and Combe Martin over the high tide on Wednesday morning. High water at Ilfracombe is 06.30am. Severe Gale force 9 westerly winds and offshore wave heights of 8m are forecast to cause flooding between 4.30am and 8.30am. Expect tides to be around 330mm higher than predicted due to weather conditions. Large waves and spray are likely so take care near coastal paths and promenades with the following areas affected; Clovelly (Harbour Side), Westward Ho! (shingle ridge area), Watermouth Cove (holiday parks and Harbour area) and Combe Martin (Hotel and Cafe). This may cause localised standing water on roads in these areas. Do not drive through flood water or waves. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue updates if the situation changes throughout Storm Eleanor. Tidal information for those who use it; the forecast high tide is 5.31 mAOD, this is 0.33 metres above astronomical tide level.
