Flooding is expected for Lynmouth over high tide on Thursday evening and Friday morning. Ilfracombe high water is at 8pm Thursday and 8am Friday. Force 4 South Westerly winds, offshore waves over 3.2m are forecast for this evening’s high tide. Force 7 South Westerly winds, over 5.4m offshore waves forecast for Friday morning. However, conditions may apply 2 hours either side of high tide. Weather conditions could make tides up to 12cm higher than predicted. Large waves and spray are likely and may cause localised standing water on roads near The Esplanade, Riverside Road and Lynmouth Street. Do not drive through flood water or waves. We’re monitoring the situation, and we’ll issue updates for changes. Flooding is expected for Lynmouth over high tide on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. Ilfracombe high water is at 7pm Wednesday and 7.30am Thursday. Force 6 westerly winds, offshore waves over 4.5m are forecast for Wednesday night’s high tide. Force 6 west south westerly winds, over 3m offshore waves forecast for Thursday morning. However, conditions may apply 2 hours either side of high tide. Weather conditions could make tides up to 25cm higher than predicted. Large waves and spray are likely and may cause localised standing water on roads near The Esplanade, Riverside Road and Lynmouth Street. Do not drive through flood water or waves. Coastal conditions will remain stormy until Friday. We’re monitoring situation, we’ll issue updates for changes. Gale force 8 south westerly winds and offshore waves over 3m forecast for Tuesday night’s high tide. Severe gale force 9 westerly winds and 8m offshore waves forecast for Wednesday morning. However, conditions may apply 2 hours either side of high tide. Weather conditions could make tides around 35cm higher than predicted. Large waves and spray are likely and may cause localised standing water on roads near The Esplanade, Riverside Road and Lynmouth Street. Do not drive through flood water or waves.
