River Culm
Flooding of homes and roads is expected overnight tonight and into the early hours of Thursday 21 October. Heavy rain falling across the Devon area has caused the River Culm to rise rapidly. Flooding of property is imminent, and river levels will be at their highest till 2am.
Properties and low lying areas around Hemyock, Whitehall Mill, Coldharbour, Willand Factory Cottages and Skinners Farm, Hayne Barton Cottages and Venn Farm will flood first.
Install flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers. Do not walk or drive through flood water. Avoid low lying roads and footpaths, which may be flooded.
We are monitoring river levels. We will update this message Thursday afternoon or if the situation changes.

River Culm
Flooding is expected in the early hours of the morning on Thursday 15th March.
Heavy rain falling in the Hemyock to Cullompton area during the early hours is causing the River Culm to rise and the river is forecast to continue rising through the morning.
Properties and low lying areas around Hemyock, Whitehall Mill, Coldharbour, Willand Factory Cottages and Skinners Farm, Hayne Barton Cottages and Venn Farm will start to flood first.
Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.
