Severe flooding is expected this morning and flood water is expected to be deep and fast flowing. Flooding is expected on 27 January 2026 . Heavy rain falling in the area will continue throughout the day. Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 5:30AM on Tuesday. The main areas of concern are Finnimore Industrial Estate, Thorne Farm Way Estate, Luxtons Park, Otter Mill and Tumbling Weir Way. River levels are forecast to be at their highest between 05:00AM and 10:00AM. This is forecast to be the highest level recorded at the Fenny Bridges Gauge. We are liaising with emergency services and local authorities . Move family, pets and cars to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water if it is safe to do so . Don't put yourself or others at risk. This message will be updated by 4:00PM on 27 January 2026 or as the situation changes.

High river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight. Flooding is expected from the early hours of 27 January 2026 . Heavy rain falling in the area will continue overnight. Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 03:30 AM on Tuesday. The main areas of concern are Finnimore Industrial Estate, Thorne Farm Way Estate, and Luxtons Park. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. River levels are likely to remain high throughout the morning. Flooding of homes and roads is expected overnight tonight and into the early hours of Thursday 21 October. Heavy rain falling across the East Devon area has caused the River Otter to rise rapidly. Flooding of property is imminent, and river levels will be at their highest till 2am. Properties and low lying areas around Finnimore Industrial Estate, Thorne Farm Way Estate, and Luxtons Park will flood first. Install flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers. Do not walk or drive through flood water. Avoid low lying roads and footpaths, which may be flooded. We are monitoring river levels. We will update this message Thursday afternoon or if the situation changes.
