High river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight. Flooding is expected from the early hours of 27 January 2026 . Heavy rain falling in the area will continue overnight. Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 01:00 AM on Tuesday morning. The main areas of concern are White Hart Inn and Colyvale Caravan Park at Colyford. The ford at Farway, upstream of Colyton, may be impassable. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. River levels are forecast to be at their highest between 02:00AM and 08:00AM. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels . Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car . Start acting on your flood plan if you have one This message will be updated by 3:00PM on 27 January 2026 or as the situation changes.

High river levels are expected to cause flooding today. Flooding is expected on 05 December 2025 . Properties and low lying areas will start to flood imminently. The main areas of concern are White Hart Inn and Colyvale Caravan Park at Colyford. The ford at Farway, upstream of Colyton, may be impassable. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. We are closely monitoring the situation . Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . Flooding is expected on Sunday afternoon. We have seen heavy rainfall in the East Devon area throughout Sunday morning. This is now causing the River Coly to rise and the river is forecast to continue rising through the day. River levels will be at their highest between 4pm and 7pm. A further band of rain later on Sunday will cause river levels to rise further during the evening. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. We will be closely monitoring the situation throughout the day and this message will be updated as the situation changes.

Properties and low lying areas around the White Hart Inn and Colyvale Caravan Park at Colyford will start to flood first. The ford at Farway, upstream of Colyton, may be impassable. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. The river is forecast to continue rising till the early hours of Thursday. Properties and low lying areas around the White Hart Inn and Colyvale Caravan Park at Colyford will start to flood first. River levels will be at their highest between 9 pm Wednesday and 2am Thursday. The ford at Farway, upstream of Colyton, may be impassable. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas.
