Flooding is possible on Sunday Morning from around 6am. We are forecasting heavy rain from now until Sunday lunch time and are expecting the rivers Sid and Otter to respond. Levels suggest that there will be flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river. We expect the river to remain high throughout Sunday. Take care near the areas of concern and monitor your local weather conditions. This message will be updated on Sunday or earlier if the situation changes.

Flooding is possible on the afternoon of Thursday 31st May and into the morning of Friday 1st June. Heavy thundery rain is forecast for this afternoon through until Friday morning. The Met Office have issued an Amber weather warning for rain for this area during this time. We expect smaller rivers and their tributaries to react quickly to this rainfall causing localised flooding in some areas. There is also likely to be significant surface water flooding in some areas. Flooding to low lying land and roads both from surface water and localised river flooding is expected. Take care near the areas of concern particularly if driving and monitor your local weather conditions. We are constantly monitoring river levels and have staff in the area checking for and clearing blockages. This message will be updated this evening or if the situation changes.

Flooding is possible early on Tuesday morning. Rain is falling on already wet catchments, and is forecast to continue overnight and cause the River Sid to rise. Flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river is possible around 5:30am on Tuesday. No flooding to properties is expected and based on the forecast, warnings are not expected to be issued. Flooding is possible overnight Sunday into Monday. Catchments are already wet and rain is forecast overnight on Sunday into Bank Holiday Monday. It’s possible that 30 mm or more could fall overnight across much of Devon. Flooding is possible on low lying land and roads. We are expecting further intermittent, but potentially heavy rain over the next 12 hours. Flooding is possible on low lying land and roads. Be prepared for local flooding, and floodplains being affected. The Environment Agency will continue to monitor rain (and snow) fall and river levels and we will update this message if the situation changes. Flooding is possible on Wednesday evening overnight in to Thursday morning. Heavy rain is forecast for the next 12 hours in the Rivers Otter and Sid and Exmouth area this will mean that the Rivers Otter and Sid are expected to rise. Levels suggest that there will be flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river from around 10pm on Wednesday. We expect the river to remain high throughout today and into tomorrow and there is a possibility that Flood Warnings may need to be issued overnight. We are constantly monitoring river levels and have staff in the area checking for and clearing blockages in this location. River levels have now receded across much of the Rivers Otter and Sid, and Exmouth area following heavy rainfall earlier over the last few days. Further rainfall is expected this afternoon and will leave the area by the afternoon of Monday 12th March. River levels will rise again in response to this rain, and will remain high. Peak levels are expected overnight tonight into Monday morning. Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected. Further showers are predicted throughout Monday morning and Wednesday next week. This will keep river levels high throughout that period. Please take care and monitor your local weather conditions. Rivers have responded to a band of heavy rainfall overnight last night. Further rainfall is forecast for today, maintaining these high river levels throughout the day. Flooding to low-lying land and roads is expected. Further showers are expected throughout the weekend into the early part of next week, some of which may be heavy. Over the last 24 hours we have seen prolonged rainfall in the River Otter, River Sid and Exmouth areas. River levels are rising. Flooding to low lying areas is possible on the evening of Friday 9th March, with river levels remaining high into the early morning of Saturday 10th March. Todays rain has combined with snow melt caused by warmer temperatures. RIvers are rising steadily. Flooding is possible on Tuesday morning. Over the last 24 hours we have seen heavy rainfall in the area. The River Otter is now rising. There will be localised riverside flooding including the River Tale and Tipton Stream. Other low lying land and roads close to rivers could also be affected. We expect the river to remain high throughout today though no flooding to properties is forecast and warnings are not expected to be issued.
