Flooding is affecting A354 Chiswell, Brandy Row, Pebble Lane, Victoria Square up to the junction with Queens Road, the car parks along the A354 and the yard along Lerret Road from 8:00 PM on 06/04/2024. Weather conditions are expected to produce large offshore waves. A flood alert has also been issued for tomorrow morning’s tide, forecast at 6:30AM on 07/04/2024. We will continue to monitor levels closely. Please stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as the expected large waves and sea spray will be dangerous. We are expecting this to cause very large and powerful waves along the coast. Areas most at risk include A354 Chiswell, Brandy Row, Pebble Lane, Victoria Square and the yard along Lerret Road. This warning has been issued for high water on Thursday 13/02/2020 between 09:15 and 12:00. Waves are forecast to overtop sea defences at CHISWELL with sea spray expected as a result of high tides and strong winds. Consequently, flooding is possible for the duration of the strong winds, which will be gusting Force 8 South Westerly. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for A354 Chiswell, Brandy Row, Pebble Lane, Victoria Square up to the junction with Queens Road, the car parks along the A354 and the yard along Lerret Road. We are closely monitoring the situation. Members of the public are strongly advised to keep away from the shoreline as the combination of very strong winds and large waves is extremely dangerous.
