We expect flooding to affect farms at Sturminster Marshall, Cowgrove, Shops in Wimborne, Mill Street in Corfe Mullen, Bridge House Hotel in Ferndown, Brecon Close, Ringwood Road, Throop Road in Bournemouth, Barrack Road and Willow Way in Christchurch. Further showers are forecast over the next few days until Sunday. River levels can rise very quickly in response to rainfall. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are in contact with community flood wardens and volunteers and liaising with emergency services. Further showers are forecast over the next 24 hours, with more heavy rainfall forecast for thursday 20/02/20. River levels can rise very quickly in response to heavy rainfall. Flooding is affecting farms at Sturminster Marshall, Cowgrove, Shops in Wimborne, Mill Street in Corfe Mullen, Bridge House Hotel in Ferndown, Brecon Close, Ringwood Road, Throop Road in Bournemouth, Barrack Road and Willow Way in Christchurch. Peak levels will be higher than the flooding in Dec 2019. Further showery rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to rise until this evening on 17/02/20. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are in contact with community flood wardens and volunteers.
