River levels are rising on the Lower Dorset Stour due to heavy rainfall. Areas most at risk include Stour Park Homes Site and Water Lane Farm. No further rainfall is forecast. We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert/warning if necessary. Consider activating any property flood protection products in Stour Park and Wheatplot Home Sites. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your surroundings. This message will be updated by 5:00 PM on 30/03/2024, or as the situation changes.

River Stour
River levels have risen at the Wimborne A31 river gauge as a result of the ground being saturated and reacting to further rainfall. Consequently, flooding could occur from this afternoon and over night 17/2/20. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for Stour Park Homes Site and Water Lane Farm Further light showery weather is forecast today with more unsettled weather and heavier rainfall forecast from Tuesday afternoon, 18/02/20.. Our incident response staff are in contact with community flood wardens and volunteers. Please can owners with property flood resilience equipment install it now and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. You should consider moving vehicles to higher ground. We are closely monitoring the situation and will update this message as the situation changes.
