This warning will be in Force for 2 hours either side of the high tide times. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for areas of Lyme Regis around the Harbour. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and liaising with emergency services. Please be careful along beaches, promenades and coastal footpaths and roads and see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast. This message will be updated as the situation changes.

A large surge is expected to affect Lyme Regis as a result of high tides and strong winds this evening 14/1/2020. High water is at around 21:30pm this evening. Flooding to properties to roads and farmland is possible and may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please stay aware in case further warnings are issued and stay away from large waves as they are dangerous. Due to a combination of high winds (Force 8) and a significant surge, we believe there is a possibility of flooding for areas of Lyme Regis around the Harbour this afternoon. A Peak levels of 5.95m is expected at 1730, but water levels will be high two hours before and two hours after this time. We are closely monitoring the situation. A large tidal surge is expected to affect Lyme Regis as a result of high spring tides and strong winds this evening 26/11/2019. High water is at around 6:20 pm this evening 26/11/2019. This warning is in place for Lyme Regis Harbour with tides at their highest between 8:30pm and 10:30pm today Friday 12th and between 7:30am and 10:00am Saturday 13th October. Large waves and spray are likely so take care near coastal paths and promenades. Walking on the Cobb in Lyme Regis will be especially dangerous. The highest forecast water level including waves is 6.89mAOD, this is 4.4 metres above astronomical tide level. The forecast wind direction is south south west and the forecast wind strength is Force 7. Coastal conditions should ease for Sunday's high tides, however we are continuing to monitor the situation.

This warning is in place for West Bay Harbour with tides at their highest between 7pm and 10pm today (Tuesday 2nd January) and between 6am and 9am tomorrow morning (Wednesday 3rd January). Flooding to properties at West Beach and around the harbour is likely at these times, however conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. Large waves and spray are likely so take care near coastal paths and promenades. This may cause localised standing water on roads between Park Dean Campsite and West Bay Road. Environment Agency staff have checked defences in the area and we are continuing to monitor the situation closely. The tidal gates at West Bay Harbour have been closed and will remain closed during high tide times. Coastal conditions should ease for Wednesday's (3rd January) high tide at 7:30pm, however we are continuing to monitor the situation. The forecast wind direction is South Westerly and Westerly and the forecast wind strength is Force 8 and 8.
