Flooding is possible around the high tide between 5:30 PM on 15/10/2024 and 8:30 PM on 15/10/2024.
Highest tide level is expected to be at Swanage Bay. In Swanage there may be a risk to the lower end of High Street road by the Pier Head so avoid parking vehicles in this area due to wave overtopping and flying debris at 7:15 PM on 15/10/2024. Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of this time.
Further flooding is possible tomorrow due to higher than normal tides combined with strong winds and large waves.

First forecast high water is 21:30 on 14/01/20 and the forecast wind is Force 8 South West. Second forecast high water is 09:30 on 15/01/20 and the forecast wind is Force 5 South. Tide times are in local time and refer to the high water time at Weymouth Tidal Gauge. Flooding to roads and properties is possible at these times, however conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for Castletown, Weymouth, Preston Beach, Swanage Bay, Studland Bay, Sandbanks, Poole Harbour, Bournemouth Beach, Hengistbury Head and Christchurch Harbour.

A tidal surge is expected to affect Poole Harbour at Wareham this evening and tomorrow morning along with the high tide and strong winds. High water is at 9:00 pm this evening the 21st and at 9.15 in the morning 22/12/2019. Flooding to roads, farmland and the harbour-side is possible and may apply two to four hours either side of the high tides. There will be south westerly winds up to force 6. High water is between 9 and 10:30 pm this evening 27/11/2019 and between 10 and 11:30 am in the morning 27/11/2019. The wind strength is Force 5 from the west. Flooding to roads and farmland is possible and may apply two to four hours either side of the high tides. There is a possibility of flooding for Preston Beach and Poole. High water is at around 8:28pm this evening 26/11/2019 and the morning of 27/11/2019 around 8:41 am. The wind strength is Force 5 from the south. Flooding to roads and farmland is possible and may apply two to four hours either side of the high tides. There is a possibility of flooding for Swanage, Studland and Poole. A tidal surge is expected to affect the East Coast of Dorset. Tomorrow morning’s tides will be at their highest at 9:20 on 26/11/2019 at Swanage.
The forecast tide level at Swanage is 1.37 m AOD. Flooding to footpaths, roads and farmland is possible, however conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. Flooding of properties is not forecast at this point.
