River levels have risen at the Swanage Prospect Farm FAS Swan Brook river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for the Corfe Castle and Swanage areas. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to remain high for the coming days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please stay aware in case further warnings are issued and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers which may be flooded. This message will be updated as the situation changes.

River levels have risen and are continuing to rise at the Swanage Prospect river gauge as a result of recent rainfall. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for the Corfe Castle and Swanage areas We expect river levels to remain high for the next 12 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated tomorrow, 15/01/2020, or as the situation changes.

River levels are forecast to rise at the Swanage King Georges Field Cemetery Gate river gauge as a result of heavy overnight rainfall tonight. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible from 16:00 today, 18/12/19. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for the Corfe Castle and Swanage areas. Further heavy rainfall is forecast overnight. We expect river levels to remain high for the coming days. We are closely monitoring the situation. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for the Corfe Castle and Swanage areas. River levels can rise very quickly in response to heavy rainfall. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are checking defences. River levels are forecast to rise on the Swan Brook as a result of persistent overnight rainfall. Consequently, flooding of low-lying roads and land is possible overnight tonight 30/10/19. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for the Corfe Castle and Swanage areas We are closely monitoring the situation. A Heavy Rainfall Alert has been issued for Dorset as a result of a band of intense rainfall which will pass quickly through the area overnight. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible between 01:00 am and 06:00 am tomorrow 09/08/19. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for the Corfe Castle and Swanage areas. Camp sites and caravan parks close to rivers are especially vulnerable to heavy rainfall. Flooding of properties is not forecast at this point. Further thundery rainfall is forecast over the next 18 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please be aware that rivers and streams in this area can respond very rapidly to heavy rainfall and quickly become dangerous. Water levels in the Purbeck Rivers and streams around Corfe Castle and Swanage areas are rising and are forecast to exceed bankful conditions. Heavy rain is forecast to continue until 6pm this evening, Saturday, 15th December 2018.

A further band of heavy rain is expected this afternoon, lasting into the evening and overnight. Whilst we do not expect property flooding at this time, flash flooding of fast responding rivers such as the Corfe and Swan could cause problems to nearby roads and some campsites. The public are advised to stay clear of these rivers where levels may respond very quickly to rainfall which has fallen upstream of their location. Our staff have been out checking for blockages and will be monitoring river levels through the night. Updates will be posted on Floodline and the Flood Information Service website.

Showers will die out overnight and be relatively few and far between on Thursday morning; however where they do pop up, they will be quite intense. A further band of heavy rain is expected on Thursday afternoon, lasting into the evening. Whilst we do not expect property flooding at this time, flash flooding of fast responding rivers such as the Corfe and Swan could cause problems to nearby roads and some campsites.
