The first peak high water level at West Bay Harbour is at 9:00 PM this evening 21/08/24 with a level of 2.50 mAOD with southwesterly force 5 winds. Thursday mornings tide 22/08/24 will not quite reach our threshold for a flood alert, but tomorrow evenings tide at 9:43PM will exceed threshold with a predicted level of 2.52 mAOD with southwesterly force 5 winds. Tide levels will start dropping from Friday mornings tide onwards. (mAOD is height above average sea level - for more info refer to local tide tables.) Sea spray overtopping along the coast is possible and high water levels in the harbour are forecast. Flooding to roads and low lying land is possible and conditions can apply one to two hours either side of high tide. We are closely monitoring the situation. High water is at around 6:20 pm this evening 26/11/2019 and the morning of 27/11/2019 around 6:45 am. The wind strength is Force 5 from the south west. Flooding to roads and farmland is expected and may apply two to four hours either side of the high tides. There is the possibility of flooding of West Bay Harbour and a tidal stretch of the River Brit. We are closely monitoring the situation.
