Tides are expected to be higher than usual due to the forecast weather conditions during spring tides. Areas most at risk include Weymouth Harbour and the tidal stretch of the River Wey. The first peak high water level at Weymouth Harbour is at 8:00 PM this evening on 08/04/2024 with a level of 1.92 mAOD with south-westerly force 7 winds. The second peak high water level is at 8:00 AM tomorrow on 09/04/2024, with a level of 1.84 mAOD with westerly force 7 winds. (mAOD is height above average sea level - for more info refer to local tide tables.) Sea spray overtopping along the coast is possible and high water levels in the harbour are forecast. Flooding to roads and low lying land is possible and conditions can apply one to two hours either side of high tide. We are closely monitoring the situation. People in the areas should consider taking action now. We urge all people to take care and not drive through flood water. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for Weymouth Harbour and the tidal stretch of the River Wey. Coastal conditions are expected to continue until after the high tides at 21:30 on 21/08/20 at Weymouth. We are closely monitoring the situation. A large tidal surge is expected to affect Weymouth Harbour as a result of high spring tides and strong winds this evening and tomorrow morning 27/11/2019. High water is at around 6:30 pm this evening 26/11/2019 and the morning of 27/11/2019 around 6:57 am. Flooding to roads and the harbour-side is expected and may apply two to four hours either side of the high tides. There is the possibility of flooding of Weymouth Harbour. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and closing gates. Please stay aware in case further warnings are issued.
