River Wriggle
River levels have risen at the Chetnole river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is could be imminent. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for Deep Ford Lane and the Chubbs Farm area. The river will peak later on Friday afternoon.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 3 hours. River levels can rise very quickly in response to heavy rainfall.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are clearing weed screens.

River Wriggle
The rainfall throughout today Tuesday 26/12/2017 has added to the river levels which are already high from yesterday’s rainfall. River levels are expected to peak later this evening however, there is a risk that Flood Warning levels will be reached on the River Wriggle at Chetnole about 20:00 tonight. Flooding is possible and could make Deep Ford Lane, Chetnole impassable.
