Rainfall is expected to be persistent and heavy at times, continuing until Saturday afternoon the 20th February. Based on the current forecast, the River Towy in this area is expected to peak tomorrow afternoon. Water is currently expected to breach onto the Quayside by tomorrow morning, though there is still considerable uncertainty in the timings. The rainfall is forecast to continue until midnight on Friday the 18th December 2020. This is expected to be heavy at times and will fall on saturated ground and river levels are already elevated. Yesterday's heavy rain which affected levels in the Towy river has now cleared the area although river levels will remain high over the next 48 hours. Overnight, river levels in the river Towy in Carmarthen are expected to drop, but will rise again locally around the Carmarthen Quay area with both the mornings tide, Monday 30th September at 07:15 AM and Monday 30th September evenings tide at 07:30 PM. It is expected that water levels will affect Carmarthen Quay area on Monday 30th September in conjunction with the peak of the tides which occur around 07:15 AM on Monday morning and 07:30 PM on Monday evening.
