The rainfall is forecast to ease by 08 : 00 AM on Wednesday 2nd May. The heaviest rainfall is now clearing the area from the west. River levels in the River Gwendraeth Fawr at Pontyates are expected to rise until at least 08 :30 AM on Wednesday 2nd May.

Rivers in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire are responding to heavy overnight rainfall which is forecast to move in an easterly direction across Wales and clear Carmarthenshire by mid-day today. The combination of ground conditions, existing river levels and forecast rainfall quantities gives a high risk of flooding of low-lying land today Tuesday 13th February 2018 over the next 12 hours. River levels in the River Gwendraeth Fawr at Pontyates are expected to rise until at least mid-day today Tuesday 13th February 2018.
