This flood warning has been issued because a combination of high tides, wind and waves are expected to cause overtopping in the North Promenade area of Hornsea around the high tide on Monday evening (2nd April) between 6.30pm and 8.30pm. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update this message as the situation changes.

This flood warning remains in force for the evening high tide on Thursday 1st February between 16:45 and 18:15. A combination of high astronomical tides, wave action and onshore wind direction is expected to generate some overtopping of waves and spray between these times. During these times it is possible that debris may accompany wave action with areas near the coast and beaches being at particular risk. Unsettled weather conditions are expected again on Friday 2nd February before improving into the weekend. We will continue to monitor the situation and update this message with new forecast information.

This flood warning has been issued for the high tides on Thursday 1st February for the morning tide between 04:30 and 06:00 and then again for the afternoon tide between 16:45 and 18:15. A combination of high astronomical tides, wave action and onshore wind direction is expected to generate some overtopping of waves and spray between these times. During these times it is possible that debris may accompany wave action with areas near the coast and beaches being at particular risk. Unsettled weather conditions are expected again on Friday 2nd February before improving into the weekend. We will continue to monitor the situation and update this message with new forecast information.

This warning is in force for the high tide on Friday 8th December. Over-topping waves and wind-blown spray can be expected to affect the Hornsea area between 19:30 and 21:00. As waves come over the sea walls, water may collect on nearby roads. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will update this message as the situation changes.

The Flood Warning has been issued as overtopping waves and spray are expected to affect Hornsea between 18:45 and 21:00 this evening, Thursday 7th December. Properties along the front, along with roads and paths in the South Promenade and Marine Drive areas are likely to be affected. Strong winds and large waves are expected to continue into Friday and the weekend. We are monitoring the situation and will update this message as the situation changes.

A flood warning is in place for the North Sea Coast at Hornsea North Prom Stage 1, with tides at their highest on Saturday 4 November between 04:00pm and 05:15pm, and then on Sunday 5 November between 04:00am and 05:30am, and again between 04:30pm and 06:00pm. Weather conditions remain unsettled with changing winds. There is an increased risk of overtopping caused by wind and wave action. We are closely monitoring the situation and will update this message if the situation changes.

This flood warning is in force for the afternoon high tide on Thursday 5th October and the following morning high tide on Friday 6th October. Overtopping and windblown spray is forecast in the Hornsea North Promenade area between 4:30pm and 6:30pm on Thursday, and again between 04:15am and 07:00am on Friday. High astronomical tide levels accompanied by strong north westerly winds may lead to increased spray and wave action over the next few days.
