Areas most at risk are properties at Easington and Kilnsea, particularly on the east side of Kilnsea, including Kilnsea Caravan Park, and Easington Caravan Park. This Flood Alert remains in force due to expected overtopping waves and spray around high tide. Overtopping is possible on Wednesday morning 11/03/20 between 05:30 and 09:00. Areas most at risk are low lying land and roads around Kilnsea Southfield Farm, Kilnsea Village and Spurn Road. Tides are increasing due to high spring tides on Wednesday and we expect that we will need to reissue this alert for further high tides on Wednesday and potentially later into the week. This warning has been issued for the high tide on Monday morning, 28/10/19. The sea level at Kilnsea is expected to reach 3.85m which will cause overtopping waves. The area most at risk is around Southfield Farm between 04:45 and 05:15. A flood alert is in force for the wider area due to overtopping waves and wind blown spray. This warning has been issued for the high tide due on Wednesday 12th September in the morning. The current forecast shows that the most significant water levels are likely to occur between 06:30 and 07:30 tomorrow morning. The area of concern is Easington and Kilnsea. These particular high tides are because of the naturally occurring astronomical tide cycle. Conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. We will monitor the situation. Please stay aware of your surroundings and do not put yourself at risk. Be prepared to act on your flood plan.

A combination of high astronomical tides, wave action and onshore wind direction is expected to generate some overtopping of waves and spray between these times, particularly in the area around Southfield Farm. Any low lying areas near the coast may also be at risk during these periods. Unsettled weather conditions are expected again on Friday 2nd February before improving into the weekend.
