Holderness Drain
This warning has been issued as a result of rising river levels on Holderness Drain and Monk Dyke on Burstwick. Levels are rising as a result of persistent heavy rain over the last few days. Upstream of Great Culvert Pumping Station levels Holderness Drain is at -0.5m and rising. This should ease later this morning and pumping will start to help manage the river levels in the area. River levels may remain above normal into the weekend. Areas most at risk are properties at Wawne Common and Woody Carr. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast and river levels. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast.
