Consequently, flooding of coastal areas is expected between 18:45 and 21:45 today 14/01/20. Areas most at risk are low lying land and roads, particularly around Kilnsea where a warning will be in force, and Spurn Road. We are closely monitoring the situation. Between these times coastal roads, footpaths and low lying land are at risk, particularly around Southfield Farm. Spring tides are due to peak on Wednesday and Thursday, and this alert may be updated for additional tides throughout this period. Please stay away from exposed coastal locations, and remain vigilant of hazardous conditions around high tides. We will continue to monitor the situation. This flood alert has been issued for the high tide on Tuesday 12th November between 5pm and 7pm in response to high tides, wave action and windblown spray. The alert is also in force for Wednesday 13th November between 5am and 7am. Between these times coastal roads, footpaths and low lying land are at risk, particularly around Southfield Farm. Spring tides peak on Wednesday and Thursday, and this alert may be updated for additional tides throughout this period. Please stay away from exposed coastal locations, and remain vigilant of hazardous conditions around high tides. We will continue to monitor the situation and update this message accordingly. The particular area at risk is Spurn Road with forecast overtopping between 17:30 and 19:00 on Saturday 17th March. This Flood Alert has been issued as a combination of high astronomical tides, small surge and strong northerly winds are expected to cause wave action and wind-blown spray along the Yorkshire coast this evening, Wednesday 31st January between 17:00 and 19:00. The specific areas of risk are around Kilnsea Village and Spurn Point, however any low lying land, roads and paths in close proximity to the coast may be at risk. This alert is also in force for Thursday 1st February between 05:00 and 07:30. Peak astronomical tides are on Friday 2nd February, and unsettled conditions are expected over the next couple of days.
