Pumps are now operating normally here to draw down levels, which rose due to a power outage earlier on Saturday 30/11/2019. Levels elsewhere remain high but as we are not expecting further significant rainfall, we are expecting levels to fall slowly into next week. As water levels have been high for a prolonged period, river banks are likely to be wet and slippery. This flood alert has been issued as recent rainfall has caused river levels to rise in this area. Levels have risen on the high tide this morning Sunday 1st April and although have fallen again during the afternoon they may rise again above alert level with the high tide on Sunday evening. This flood alert has been issued as recent rainfall has caused river levels to rise in this area. Levels are currently rising above alert level on the high tide on the morning of Sunday 1st April. Levels are likely to fall again during the afternoon but may rise again above alert level with the high tide on Sunday evening. Further rain is expected on Monday 2nd April and we will continue to monitor river levels in this area.
