This flood alert has been issued as levels in this area have risen due to recent rainfall. Levels at Welham Bridge on the River Foulness are at 1 metre and levels at Mires Beck in North Cave are also rising. Further rain is expected on Monday and we expect levels to rise further in this area during Monday 2nd April and Tuesday 3rd April. This flood alert has been issued due to recent rainfall causing levels on the River Foulness to rise to 1m at Welham Bridge. Levels at Welham Bridge are likely to rise slowly on Saturday evening and remain high into Sunday. No further significant rainfall is expected on Sunday. We will continue to monitor levels in this area.

This flood alert remains in force due to raised levels on the River Foulness at Welham Bridge. Levels have been falling gradually but are likely to remain above 1m today. Bands of rainfall are forecast on Thursday into Friday. As the catchment is currently saturated this is likely to keep levels high on the river and within drains around the area. It may cause some flooding of low lying land, roads and fields. We will continue to monitor the situation. This flood alert remains in force due to raised levels on the River Foulness at Welham Bridge. Levels have been falling gradually throughout Wednesday and are expected to continue to fall into Thursday, however are likely to remain above 1m. We will continue to monitor the situation. No significant rainfall is forecast over the next 24hrs but please keep an eye on local weather forecasts from the Met Office.
