High tides tomorrow morning may lead to flooding along the North Bank of the Humber Estuary Flooding is possible around the high tide between 6:30 AM on 18/10/2024 and 8:30 AM on 18/10/2024. Areas most at risk are low lying land and roads adjacent to the Humber, from Faxfleet to Saltmarshe. Further flooding is possible over the weekend due to higher-than-normal tides and this alert may be re-issued as a result. We are closely monitoring the situation. This Flood Alert remains in place due to strong winds, surge and high spring tides on the coast and tidal River Ouse over the coming days. Flooding of low lying land and roads is possible between today, Tuesday 09/04/24 until this evenings high tide has passed between 6PM and 8PM. Areas most at risk include low lying land from Faxfleet to Howdendyke. Some seepage was observed last night in the Faxfleet, Saltmarshe and Blacktoft areas and we could see some further seepage tonight, altough peak levels are forecast to be lower than Monday evening. We are expecting higher than normal tides over the next few days and as a result we may issue further alerts/warnings. We will continue to monitor levels closely. Be careful along the riverside, beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as high river levels, large waves and spray could be dangerous. Flood Alert issued on 6 Nov 2021 20:42
The Humber
This alert is being issued due to the possibility of minor impacts from tidal and coastal flooding on Sunday 7th November. Some of the highest tides of the year are expected over this weekend, and the forecast shows that, due to the local weather conditions, Sunday morning’s tide will be particularly high. The highest levels are expected on Sunday morning around 7:30-8:45am. We will be monitoring the situation closely in case we need to issue any flood warnings ahead of Sunday morning’s high tide. Our operational staff will be out inspecting our flood defences before and after the peak tides, and we are liaising closely with our partners. Please keep away from flood water and to report an issue relating to river, tidal or coastal flooding, call our Incident Hotline number 0800 80 70 60. Be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation via our Check for Flooding Service on Gov.UK or via Floodline number 0345 988 1188.
