Flooding affecting riverside properties in Crowhurst should slowly ease through Monday. Including on Forewood Lane, and properties between the Plough public house and the junction of Sampsons Lane on Sandrock Hill. Only scattered showers are forecast Monday to Thursday 29/02/2024. In Crowhurst, river levels should continue to fall, with flood impacts easing Tuesday, and returning nearer to normal by Wednesday afternoon 28/02/2024. Flood protection products are recommended to be kept installed in Crowhurst, as a precaution, if you have them. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. From 23:00 25/02/2024, flooding will affect fields, Crowhurst Recreation Ground, rural roads and a small number of riverside properties in Crowhurst on Forewood Lane and properties between the Plough public house and the junction of Sampsons Lane on Sandrock Hill. Rain could continue until 11:00 26/02/2024. Another 20mm of rain could fall. River levels could be similar to January 2023. The river might not begin to fall until 16:00 26/02/2024. Flooding might not ease until Tuesday, with river levels returning nearer to normal by Tuesday evening. Only scattered showers are then forecast until the end of the week.
