Flooding affecting riverside properties in Crowhurst should slowly ease through Monday. Including on Forewood Lane, and properties between the Plough public house and the junction of Sampsons Lane on Sandrock Hill. Only scattered showers are forecast Monday to Thursday 29/02/2024. In Crowhurst, river levels should continue to fall, with flood impacts easing Tuesday, and returning nearer to normal by Wednesday afternoon 28/02/2024. From 23:00 25/02/2024, flooding will affect fields, Crowhurst Recreation Ground, rural roads and a small number of riverside properties in Crowhurst on Forewood Lane and properties between the Plough public house and the junction of Sampsons Lane on Sandrock Hill. Rain could continue until 11:00 26/02/2024. Another 20mm of rain could fall. River levels could be similar to January 2023. The river might not begin to fall until 16:00 26/02/2024. Flooding might not ease until Tuesday, with river levels returning nearer to normal by Tuesday evening. Only scattered showers are then forecast until the end of the week. From 22:00 16/11/2022 flooding will affect fields, Crowhurst Recreation Ground, rural roads and a small number of riverside properties in Crowhurst; on Forewood Lane and properties between The Plough public house and the junction of Sampsons Lane on Sandrock Hill. Rain is expected to clear by 04:00 Thursday 17/11/2022, leaving Thursday and Friday mostly dry. The river should begin to fall by 10:00 17/11/2022 but will be higher than normal until Friday. Rainfall totals will be less than Storm Bella but the rain will cause the river to rise again late this afternoon and evening (28/12/2020). Flooding will continue to affect fields, rural roads and a small number of riverside properties in Crowhurst on Forewood Lane and properties between the Plough public house and the junction of Sampsons Lane on Sandrock Hill. A small amount of rain is forecast at 23:00 27/12/2020, which might briefly raise river levels again, potentially to levels that could again affect properties. Monday's weather forecast is still a little uncertain, but the latest indications suggest a drier day than previously forecast. River levels will continue to fall slowly, returning to near normal in Crowhurst by Saturday morning 7/3/2020. Flood impacts will continue to affect the recreation ground and gardens of properties between the Plough public house and the junction of Sampsons Lane on Sandrock Hill, Crowhurst. More rain is predicted Sunday morning and Monday afternoon 9/3/2020. The risk of flooding will increase again, dependant on the amount of rain we receive. Current predictions suggest river levels will probably peak lower in Crowhurst (than seen Thursday 5/3/2020). The Powdermill Stream is rising steadily in response to 17mm of rainfall this morning. A further 8mm of rainfall is forecast before the end of the day. Flooding is expected from 15:30 05/03/2020. Locations affected will include the recreation ground and properties between the Plough public house and the junction of Sampsons Lane on Sandrock Hill. Thursday evening and Friday will be relatively dry, so river levels should begin to fall from 02:00 on Friday 06/03/2020. However, river levels will stay high until Saturday and further rain is forecast into next week and so levels may rise again. Water levels in the Powdermill Stream remain high and are expected to rise further quickly. Following 30 mm of persistent rain Sunday 16 February flooding is expected from 17:00 this afternoon (16/02/2020). Isolated flooding impacts are expected to affect properties. The locations most at risk are the recreation ground and properties between the Plough public house and the junction of Sampsons Lane on Sandrock Hill. Rain is expected tomorrow 17/02/2020 but is not expected to increase water levels. The river will peak by 01:00 tomorrow morning 17/02/2020, returning to normal by the afternoon the same day.
