Uck
River levels are rising steadily again on the river Uck following a further 10mm of rain overnight on top of a wet week before. Minor flooding is possible in Buxted from 08:30 this morning and in Isfield from 13:00 Saturday 19/10/2019. Small amounts of shallow flood water affecting fields, gardens and rural roads could be possible including water nearing riverside properties through Buxted near the White Hart pub and Hempstead Mill. Properties around Isfield Mill and Isfield Bridge could also experience minor impacts. Fewer impacts are expected through Uckfield. Saturday and Sunday should be mostly dry, so river levels should peak by 16:00 Saturday 19/10/2019, approximately 10 cm higher than Friday, starting to fall overnight, returning to more normal levels Sunday 20/10/2019. Flood protection products are recommended to be installed, if you have them. We'll continue to monitor water levels and forecasts. This message will be updated by 15:00 on Saturday 19 October 2019.
