This message has been issued because flooding of homes and businesses is likely between 22:30pm and 02:30am overnight tonight, Monday 8 April into tomorrow, Tuesday 9 April. Tides are expected to be higher than usual, due to the forecast weather conditions during spring tides. Areas most at risk are, Chandlers Quay, Chelmer Terrace, the Hythe and promenade park. The detailed forecast for those that use it is for a peak level at Clacton of 3.22 mAODN at half past midnight tonight, Monday 8 April into, Tuesday 9 April, which is 0.76m above tide tables, wind Force 5, in a south-westerly direction. (mAODN is height above average sea level, for more info refer to local tide tables). Be ready to take action to protect your property if flooding is expected. We are monitoring the situation and will update this message by 10am tomorrow, Tuesday 9 April.

This message has been issued because flooding of homes and businesses is likely between 1:45pm and 3:45pm this afternoon, Monday 15th January. Areas most at risk are Chandlers Quay, Chelmer Terrace, the Hythe and promenade park. The detailed forecast for those that use it is for a peak level at Clacton of 3.18mAODN at 2:45pm, on Monday 15th January, which is 0.85m above tide tables, wind Force 5, north-westerly. (mAODN is height above average sea level, for more info refer to local tide tables). The current series of high spring tides has now reached its peak, and is currently forecast to fall away over the next few days. Take care on coastal roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation and not expecting the situation to escalate. We will update this message by 5pm today, Monday 15th January.

The detailed forecast for those that use it is for a peak level at Clacton of 3.30 mAODN at 9:30pm, Friday 24th November, which is 1.2m above tide tables, wind Force 6, north westerly. (mAODN is height above average sea level - for more info refer to local tide table). The current series of high spring tides will remain for the next few days. Be ready to take action to protect your property if flooding is expected. We are monitoring the situation and further alerts or warnings may be issued. The detailed forecast for those that use it is for a peak level at Clacton of 3.32 mAODN at 1:15pm, on Sunday 7 November, which is 0.61m above tide tables, wind Force 6, NorthWesterly. (mAODN is height above average sea level - for more info refer to local tide tables). High levels can be expected 2hrs before and after the peak time at Clacton. Take care on coastal roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation and not expecting it to escalate. Tides are expected to be higher than usual, due to forecast weather conditions and surge coinciding with the high tide. Areas most at risk are Chandlers Quay, Chelmer Terrace, the Hythe and promenade park. The detailed forecast for those that use it is for a peak level at Clacton of 3.41 mAODN at 2:30pm today, which is 1.02m above tide tables, wind Force 6, North North Westerly. (mAODN is height above average sea level, for more info refer to local tide tables). High levels can be expected 2hrs before and after the peak time at Clacton. Flood water is dangerous. Don't put yourself or others at risk. We are closely monitoring the situation and are not expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue anything else for the following tide.

This message has been issued because there is a possibility of some flooding of homes and businesses between 11:45am and 1:45pm tomorrow, Monday 10th February. High tides are expected as spring tides coincide with a surge. Areas most at risk are Chandlers Quay, Chelmer Terrace, the Hythe and promenade park. The detailed forecast for those that use it is for a peak level at Clacton of 3.27mAODN at 12:45pm, on Monday 10th February, which is 0.81m above tide tables, wind Force 7, SW. (mAODN is height above average sea level, for more information refer to local tide tables). The preceding overnight tide at 12:15am is not anticipated to result in any flooding. High levels can be expected 2hrs before and after the peak time at Clacton. Take care on coastal roads and footpaths and don't put yourself in danger. We will continue to monitor the situation and will reissue this message for any subsequent tides if required.
