This message has been issued because some minor flooding to low lying land, roads and riverside areas is likely from now until tomorrow morning, Thursday 21st October. River levels are reacting quickly and rising sharply in response to this evenings rainfall. Areas most at risk are Noak Bridge, Barleylands Road, Southend Road, and riverside properties in Wickford. The forecast is for rain to continue throughout tonight and into the early hours of tomorrow. River levels are likely to continue to raise as a consequence. The forecast for tomorrow day time is dry. Take care on riverside footpaths and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation. We will update this message by 11am tomorrow, Thursday 21st October.
