This message has been issued because some minor flooding to low lying land, roads and riverside areas is likely from now until tomorrow morning, Thursday 28th November. The River is rising in response to the rainfall overnight. Areas most at risk are riverside areas of the Eastwood Brook around the A1015, Rayleigh Road, and Prittle Brook along Manchester Drive in Leigh-on-Sea. We are not currently expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue any further warning messages at this time. The forecast is for dry conditions after today, which will allow river levels to start returning to normal. Flood water is dangerous. Don't put yourself or others at risk. Our workforce are out checking flood defences and clearing weed screens. We will update this message by 10am tomorrow, Thursday 28th November, or as the situation changes.

This message has been issued because some minor flooding to low-lying land, roads and riverside areas is likely in response to the overnight rain and the rain that continues to fall this morning, Sunday 18 February 2024. River levels are expected to remain high in response to the rainfall. Areas most at risk are riverside areas of the Eastwood Brook around the A1015, Rayleigh Road, and Prittle Brook along Manchester Drive in Leigh-on-Sea. We are not currently expecting the situation to escalate. The forecast is for further rain during this morning, Sunday 18 February, with the potential for some heavy showers. The rain is expected to clear off the East coast by early afternoon. The forecast is for some light showers on Monday 19 February and Tuesday 20 February. River levels are currently high as the river responds to current rainfall. Areas most at risk are Eastwood Brook around Rayleigh Road and Eastwoodbury Lane areas, Laurence Industrial Estate, Sutton Court Drive, Oak Road, Hall Road and St Andrews Road in Rochford. River levels will likely continue to rise this evening in response to further rain but then fall quickly overnight. The forecast is for continued unsettled weather over the next couple of days with further rain showers throughout the week. The forecast is for rain through the rest of this morning, Monday 13th November, some of which is likely to be heavy.
