Canons Brook
Thunderstorms and heavy rainfall forecast overnight may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible overnight tonight, Friday 13th June until Saturday 14th June in the morning. Flooding is possible at locations near the Canons Brook, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Passmores House. Weather conditions are expected to improve from Saturday morning. We are continuously checking river levels and you are encouraged to monitor local weather conditions. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10am tomorrow, Saturday 14th June, or as the situation changes.
Canons Brook
Heavy rainfall is currently falling in the Harlow area. This has caused the Canons Brook to rise during this afternoon, Sunday 25 July. There is likely to be flooding to low lying land and roads close to the Canons Brook in Harlow this afternoon and evening. Flooding from surface water, where water gathers and flows off road surfaces, could also occur. We expect the river to remain high this afternoon but should start to recede this evening. No flooding to properties is currently expected. We are constantly monitoring river levels and have staff on standby to attend to any blockages in the river. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, Monday 26 July, or earlier if the situation changes.
