River levels are high at the Gloucester river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Flooding of property, roads and farmland continues. Flooding is affecting properties and roads in and around Gloucester. The A40 at Over may be affected. The A38 may be flooded at Longford and Norton.
Further rainfall is expected over the next few days, as a result we expect river levels to remain high. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and avoid contact with flood water.
