River levels are rising at the Minsterworth river gauge as a result of a tidal surge. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible between 10:15am and 10:45am today, 12/03/24. We expect flooding to affect properties in the area Lower Rea to Stonebench. Floodwater may overtop tidal defences in the Noards and Walmore Common areas and affect land and properties behind. Wave action may result in some overtopping of the tidal defence at Minsterworth for the period of the high tide. Predicted peak:- Minsterworth 6.0m to 6.2m 10:30am 12/03/24

Gloucester, 3.8m to 4.2m tonight at midnight, 12am on Wednesday 14/02/24, & 3.8m to 4.2m at 12:15pm on Wednesday 14/02/24.
Minsterworth, 5.4m to 5.7m this evening 11:30pm on Tuesday 13/02/24, and 5.4m to 5.7m at 11:45am on Wednesday 14/02/24.

A severe flood warning is in force for the River Severn at Minsterworth and Stonebench. Severe flooding is expected from Friday morning due to strong winds, high waves and a high tide between 07:30 and 11:30, 18/02/2022. There is danger to life.

The level at Gloucester gauge is forecast to reach up to 3.9m . The level at Minsterworth gauge is forecast to reach up to 6.0m during the high tide on Friday morning. Levels will remain high for a prolonged period of time due to a tidal surge with very strong winds and large waves.

Water levels will be at their highest between 7:30 and 11:30 am Friday morning when flooding to properties, roads and farmland is expected. The level at Gloucester gauge is forecast to reach up to 3.9m . The level at Minsterworth gauge is forecast to reach up to 6.0m on Friday morning. This warning has been issued due to the high tidal surge, significant wave height and wind speed which will cause levels to remain high for a longer period of time.
