A series of high spring tides are due over the next few days, however conditions may apply a few hours either side of the high tide. Floodwater overtopping the tidal defences may affect properties at Weir Green, Elmore Back, Elmore, Waterend, Longney, Bollow, Rodley and Cleeve.
Predicted peak:- Minsterworth 5.75m to 6m on 19/10/24 at 23:00 and 5.75m to 5.9m at 11:15 on 20/10/24.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and Local Authorities.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.

River levels are rising as a result of high spring tides peaking this morning due to exceptionally high tides. Tides will be at their highest between 10:15am and 10:45am today, 12/03/24. Flooding to roads and farmland is possible at these times, however conditions may apply a few hours either side of the high tide. Flooding is likely to affect land and may affect properties at Bollow. High tides mean that floodwater may overtop small lengths of the Elmore and Longney tidal defences and the Rodley tidal defence. Predicted peak:- Minsterworth 6.0m to 6.2m 10:30am 12/03/24

The tide peaked last night at 5.3m at 9:30pm Predicted peak:- Minsterworth 5.9m to 6.1m 11/02/24 at 9:30am and 5.8m to 6.1m 11/02/24 at 10:00pm.

A severe flood warning is in force for the Tidal Severn from Elmore to Rodley. Severe flooding is expected from Friday morning due to strong winds, high waves and a high tide between 07:30 and 11:30, 18/02/2022. There is danger to life.
You need to take action immediately to implement your emergency flood plan as severe flooding to homes and main roads is expected.
The level at Minsterworth gauge is forecast to reach up to 6.0m during the high tide on Friday morning. Levels will remain high for a prolonged period of time due to a tidal surge with very strong winds and large waves.

The arrival of Storm Eunice overnight on Thursday has the potential to cause severe flooding with overtopping of defences, very strong winds and high waves. There is potential for record water levels along the Severn & Wye estuary.
Water levels will be at their highest between 7:30 and 11:30 am Friday morning when flooding to properties, roads and farmland is expected. The level at Minsterworth gauge is forecast to reach up to 6.0m on Friday morning. This warning has been issued due to the high tidal surge, significant wave height and wind speed which will cause levels to remain high for a longer period of time.
We are closely monitoring the situation and working closely with our partners. Our incident response staff are checking defences.
