As a result of ongoing high tides. Flooding to properties, roads and farmland is possible, however conditions may apply a few hours either side of the high tide. A series of high tides is due over the next 2 days. Floodwater may overtop the Westbury earth embankment and the wall at the Strand. Floodwater may overtop high ground in places between Bullo Pill and Newnham. Flooding of land expected but properties close to the estuary may also be affected. Predicted Peak :- this evening, 12/03/24, Sharpness 10.1m to 10.6m at 21:30pm, tomorrow morning, 13/03/24, Sharpness 10.3m to 10.8m at 09:45am. Tide peak this morning, 12/03/2024 at Sharpness was 10.94m.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences.
Please activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers.

Flooding to properties, roads and farmland is possible, however conditions may apply a few hours either side of the high tide. A series of high tides is due over the next 2 days. The arrival of Storm Eunice Overnight on Thursday and Friday morning has not resulted in the significant impact initially forecast. A flood warning remains in force due to spray and high winds
This evenings tide is forecast to be lower than the Friday morning tide.

Severe flooding is expected from Friday morning due to strong winds, high waves and a high tide between 07:30 and 11:30, 18/02/2022. There is danger to life. You need to take action immediately to implement your emergency flood plan as severe flooding to homes and main roads is expected. The level at the Sharpness gauge will reach up to 10.8mASD during the high tide tomorrow morning and levels will remain high for a prolonged period of time due to a tidal surge with very strong winds and large waves.. Water levels will be at their highest between 7:30 and 11:30 am Friday morning when flooding to properties, roads and farmland is expected. The level at Sharpness gauge is forecast to reach up to 10.8mASD on Friday morning, levels will remain high for a longer period of time due to tidal surge and very strong winds.
