Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this evening. Flooding is expected on 14 November 2025 . Areas most at risk include downstream of the A420 Bridge at the Paper Factory on Church Road and The Green on Barrow Hill, properties at Wick and downstream of Boyd Bridge. Drier conditions are forecast from Saturday and conditions will begin to improve. We are closely monitoring the situation and will issue updates as necessary. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 15 November 2025 or as the situation changes.

River levels have peaked and are falling but will remain high overnight Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Boyd, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around downstream of the A420 Bridge at the Paper Factory on Church Road and The Green on Barrow Hill, properties at Wick and downstream of Boyd Bridge.
