River levels are now falling at the Frenchay river gauge. There is some light rain forecast over the next 48 hours but we expect levels to continue to fall. We believe there is a still a possibility of flooding for Saint John's Way in Chipping Sodbury and Damson Bridge. We are closely monitoring the situation and will issue Flood Warnings as required. Our incident response staff have been checking defences and clearing weed screens. Please see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. River levels are currently rising at the Frenchay river gauge. The rising levels are in response to rainfall associated with Storm Jorge and we expect levels to continue to rise throughout the night. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for Saint John's Way in Chipping Sodbury and Damson Bridge. We are closely monitoring the situation and will issue Flood Warnings as required. River levels are starting to stabilise at the Frenchay river gauge following heavy rainfall over the weekend associated with Storm Dennis. Further isolated, and at times heavy rainfall showers are forecast over the next 8 hours. River levels can respond quickly in response to further rainfall. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for Saint John's Way in Chipping Sodbury and Damson Bridge. The SS Great Britain Dry Dock is forecast to flood. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have been checking defences and clearing weed screens. River levels are forecast to rise at the Frenchay river gauge as a result of the ground being saturated and reacting to further rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible between 02:00 tomorrow 16/02/20 and 09:00 Monday 17/02/20. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for Saint John's Way in Chipping Sodbury and Damson Bridge. The SS Great Britain Dry Dock is forecast to flood. We expect river levels to rise until 12:00 on 16/02/20. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have been checking defences and clearing weed screens throughout Saturday. River levels are forecast to rise at the Frenchay river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall this evening, 12/12/19. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible between 21:00 and 23:30 today. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for St John's Way in Chipping Sodbury and Damson Bridge. The SS Great Britain Dry Dock is forecast to flood. Further persistent heavy rainfall is forecast over the next 3 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. The Bristol Frome Flood Alert is active. As a result of an extensive wet weather period over recent weeks the Bristol Frome catchment is beginning to respond and rise to Flood Alert status. It is expected to meet criteria in the early hours of Sunday morning the 3rd November 2019. Approximately 10-20 mm of rain has fallen today over a widespread area in the Avon and Somerset. River levels on the River Frome at Chipping Sodbury, River Frome at Frenchay, are rising. While we are currently not expecting any flood warnings to be issued flooding is possible at St Johns Way in Chipping Sodbury and Damson Bridge. The SS Great Britain Dry Dock is forecast to flood. We will continue to monitor the situation and will provide an update tomorrow morning.

Less rain is forecast overnight on Sunday 13/10/2019 but a further frontal band of rain may feed north across the region during Monday afternoon 14/10/19, from about 13:00 hours onwards. Some of this rain may be heavy in places and it is forecast to clear northwards over Monday night. There is some uncertainty in the exact track of the intense bursts. We expect river levels to rise again during Monday afternoon and evening on 14/10/2019 so this flood alert has been updated and remains in force. In addition, further potentially heavy rain is currently forecast for Wednesday 16/10/2019. In the meantime we will closely monitor the situation and we will provide further update to this message on Monday morning 14/10/2019, or as the situation changes. The Environment Agency Incident team are monitoring river levels to ensure that river structures such as weed screens are kept free from debris. Please listen to your local weather forecast and take care near fast moving water.

River levels at Frenchay river gauge for the Nibley to Stapleton area have been gradually falling and remain steady. We are expecting a persistent band of rain with localised heavy rainfall overnight on Saturday 12/10/2019 and into the early hours of Sunday. This may cause river levels to rise again. No properties are forecast to flood tonight but significant rainfall is forecast for Monday 14/10/2019 and Tuesday 15/10/2019 which could result in river levels rising higher. We have been checking the rivers for potential blockages and are ensuring trash screens are kept clear of debris. We will be watching the weather forecast and river levels and will update this message on Sunday 13/10/2019, or as the situation changes.

An area of persistent rain with some localised heavy outbursts has fallen overnight and has resulted in rivers responding. Further rain is forecast throughout Friday on 11/10/2019 and over the weekend. The ground is now wet so it is likely river levels will rise. River level on the River Frome at Frenchay are rising. River levels on the River Frome at Chipping Sodbury, River Frome at Eastville and River Frome at Bristol Floating Harbour are fairly stable at the present time. We are not expecting flooding of properties at the present time but advise you keep yourself informed with local weather situation. It is possible that low lying roads may be affected. We are monitoring the rivers for potential blockages and are ensuring trash screens are kept clear of debris. We will update this message as the weather or situation changes.

The majority of Sunday will be dry until later on in the afternoon. A band of heavy and persistent rain will move across the area overnight Sunday and into Monday. The most intense rainfall will be between 23:00 and 09:00. River levels are generally stable however, as the rain passes through, this will lead to a rise in all river levels in the area therefore we are issuing all the Flood Alerts for the Bristol Frome area. There is an outside possibility of a couple of flood warnings being issued overnight but due to the uncertainty, we will not know the exact location of these until the rain passes through. We will be carrying out routine checks around the Bristol Frome area to ensure that the additional water will be able to travel through the system as expected. This message will be updated again Monday morning once the latest weather forecasts and models have been run and assessed.

Up to 30 mm of rainfall has fallen in some areas of the Bristol Frome catchment between 09:00 am on 26/12/2017 and 09:00 am on 27/12/2017. Although the rain has now cleared the area, rivers are still responding to this rainfall. The next 48 hours are expected to be largely dry, with a forecast of more rainfall on 29/12/2017. River levels on the River Frome at Chipping Sodbury, and the River Frome at Frenchay have peaked and are now falling. The River Frome at Eastville is currently rising. The River Frome at Bristol Floating Harbour is stable.

Flooding is possible following today’s heavy periods of rain with a further 5-10 mm forecasted tonight and into the early hours of Wednesday the 27/12/2017. The flood alert criteria could be met at approximately 3am on the 27/12/2017 if conditions do materialise. River levels on the Bristol Frome at Frenchay are rising. Catchments are saturated and remain responsive to rainfall. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide a further update if the situation changes.
